Ricardo de Jesus Maga Rojas, Associate AIA Architectural Designer at GSC Architects. Master of Urban Planning, Texas A&M University (2016) Bachelor of Architecture, Tuskegee University (2013). Born in Banes, Holguin, Cuba. Ricardo’s genuine passion for design and service has allowed him to serve under NAAB and be a mentor through Tuskegee’s Architecture and Construction Alumni Association as well as develop connections within the architecture community and beyond. Formerly an AIAS Chapter President at Texas A&M University, he continues his service to the Institute through the Texas Society of Architects, local AIA Austin Chapter, and Park(ing) Day Austin. Ricardo is a commissioner with the City of Austin's Hispanic-Latino Quality of Life Resource Advisory Boards and Commissions. He also serves passionately with ACE Mentor Program of Austin. Ricardo was recognized as a Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship Recipient by the Architects Foundation in 2017. In his spare time, he enjoys dancing and singing to Afro-Cuban folkloric music, Rumba, and Salsa.
