This presentation will present a detailed examination of historic community design aims and work, contemporary models of social entrepreneurship and its various methods, and emerging social design practices. Understanding these three areas as an iterative sequence with benefits and drawbacks will enable a critical conversation of where community- and public interest design originated and where it can successfully go next.
