This session explores the concept of landscape performance and why it is critical to achieving sustainability, creating more equitable and resilient communities, and reaching key decision-makers. The Landscape Architecture Foundation will present an overview of the Landscape Performance Series, an online, interactive set of resources to help designers and communities evaluate performance, show value, and make the case for sustainable and equitable landscape solutions. After the session, participants will have a better understanding of the environmental, social, and economic benefits that thoughtfully-designed spaces can offer communities. The session also features case studies of public spaces that offer environmental, social, and economic benefits and were created through varied approaches to the participatory design process.
