***This session begins at The Y Not Lot, then at 2pm will move to the Lazarus Center L-80 Classroom***

In this participatory session, panelists will engage with audience members to broaden their collective understanding of how various populations experience exclusion in public space. In addition, they will actively explore specific design, advocacy, and engagement strategies that are inclusive of all peoples. The session will begin with an NDC staff-led walking tour of the YNot Lot, a privately-owned, publicly programmable lot that sits at a divide between majority-white and majority-black neighborhoods in Baltimore. Later, participants will discuss their understanding of exclusion and inclusion in public space, and more specifically the inclusiveness (or exclusiveness) of the Ynot Lot.
