This workshop will showcase the design, development, and implementation of the HealthiAir Community Action Pack, a toolkit for public housing communities to design their own strategy for transitioning to smoke free housing. Workshop participants will hear from a panel of students and staff from the Center for Social Design at Maryland Institute College of Art and project partners at Baltimore City Health Department and Douglass Homes. The panel will reflect on the ups and downs of collaborating across silos, share tips and tricks for engaging non-designers in the human-centered design process, and will discuss plans for how the work will be sustained.
