Excuse Our Dust

The Mariposa County Planning Department’s advocacy planning framework includes a multi-disciplinary partnership of social service providers, advocacy groups, and environmental conservation organizations. They are working to plan, design, and implement a four-mile linear park in the town of Mariposa, CA. In addition to targeting longstanding disparities in mobility and public health outcomes, the advocacy planning framework aims to empower groups that have been historically marginalized in Mariposa. The project's key programmatic features are active transportation and recreation, interpretation, and creative placemaking strategies.
