This workshop will showcase the My Baltimore Book project, an innovative initiative to engage Baltimore 3rd graders in understanding the complex social, environmental, and political forces that shape Baltimore City. Since 2016, over 14,000 free copies of My Baltimore Book have been distributed to third grade students as part of the core Baltimore City Public Schools social studies curriculum. Workshop participants will learn more about the design, development, implementation, and impact of My Baltimore Book through a panel discussion with Baltimore City students and teachers who have used the book in their classrooms.
