Ben works with the Place-Based Capacity Building program of the Neighborhood Design Center in Baltimore, MD. A 2017 graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Ben has a B.A. in both Studio Art and Environmental Studies. Working with the SMCM Office of Sustainability he gained hands-on experience with project implementation and developed a passion for improving the built environment. As a volunteer with the year-long AmeriCorps VISTA program, Ben is excited to collaborate on creating sustainable tools with with communities in Baltimore and help support the city’s socially-equitable development. When Ben isn’t in the office you can find him hiking (he just hiked the Pacific Crest Trail!), painting, or making music.
